The only other constituent is pure, instant coffee made from a blend of Arabica and Robusta coffee beans. It takes about 10kg of raw coffee to make 1kg of Svetol using a patented extraction process that also removes the caffeine from Svetol - so CoffeeSLENDER contains about the same amount of caffeine as normal instant coffee. One of the main ingredients in Svetol is a naturally occurring plant acid that is extracted from the green coffee bean - Chlorogenic Acid. This has been the subject of many scientific tests (please see the Studies page for details). Svetol also contains another coffee derived substance, caffeic acid, which is a powerful anti-oxidant. Some studies on caffeic acid suggest it may also have anti-carcinogenic properties and so may help prevent cancer.
